The recent games all had a direct link. This one was no
different, it was the visit of Holloway’s former team who probably arrived with
a point to prove to their former boss.
It’s an odd game, Palace have struggled recently in the
first half and this was no different. The visitors deservedly took the lead on
37 minutes through Delfouneso. And that was the score at the half. Palace were
lucky not to be more than a goal down as Blackpool pushed on but they could not
add to their single goal. It was probably the worst half of football this
season from the home side but they came out fighting for the second. It was
Garvan who equalised and inevitably it was Murray who got in on the act to give
Palace the lead. There was a great chance from Murray to make it 3-1 but the
keeper saved. That would have killed the game but the door was ajar and
Blackpool took their chance and equalised through substitute Dicko. On
reflection, probably the right result.
View from
TheEaglesBeak; It takes a good side to to come to Selhurst these days and take
the game to Palace and Blackpool did just that. Added incentive was playing
against their former boss so all in all a decent point.
