25/08/12 League Middlesbrough (a) 2-1 loss

A third defeat in a row in the league. Yes. But progress after three signings the day before the game. Dougie added Darcy Blake from Cardiff, Yannick Bolasie from Bristol City and free agent Andre Moritz. Palace were behind when Boro's Hines scored on 41 before Zemmama doubled the lead on 52 from a free kick. Hope was given in the 56th minute by Jermaine Easter who again scored from the penalty spot after he had been fouled by McEachran. A late effort from Wilfred Zaha was saved by Steele but Palace could not force an equaliser It is the first time Palace have lost the opening three league games for 39 years.

View from TheEaglesBeak; Still positive after this game after the three new signings and the promise of at least two more to come before the transfer deadline.
