Two late goals stole the game for Udinese (oops, I meant Watford) at Selhurst. Midfielder Owen Garvan had put Palace ahead with a 13th-minute penalty, before Taylor tapped home an equaliser for Watford after a mistake from Julian Speroni. Palace regained the lead when Garvan scored again, lashing a shot beyond Watford's keeper Almunia. However, Almen Abdi levelled with a 25-yard effort
that Julian Speroni could arguably have done better with but the worst was yet to come. Watford's new signing Matej Vydra struck from outside the box to
snatch all three points.
View from TheEaglesBeak; Convinced that the absence of Paddy had a lot to do with losing this game. We may have got at least a point with him at the back organising, certainly wouldn't have lost.
