Weird having the first game of the season a cup competition but Palace went behind early on in this 1st round League Cup tie against the side from League Two. Poor marking allowed City's O'Flynn to convert Bauza's attempted volley over Lewis Price and
into the back of net in the 2nd minute. Palace got level when City's Doherty handled in the area giving Jermaine Easter the opportunity to convert from the spot in the 24th minute. Unlikely goalscorer Kagisho Dikgacoi headed into an empty net in the 43rd minute which ended up being the winner.
View from TheEaglesBeak; A win is a win and a good habit to have. Into the 2nd round where we travel to Preston as our full on relationship with the League Cup continues.
