In just three years the Palace Beer Festival has become one of the biggest celebrations of ale & cider in the south of England. This year there will be an even greater choice, with more than 150 beers and ciders from around the world showcased – including speciality bottled beers for the first time. The club are also delighted to announce that this year the event will be sponsored by Cornwall’s Sharp’s Brewery, home to the famous Doom Bar Ale, and our commemorative glass sponsors are Croydon’s Cronx Brewery, one of the many superb new brewers emerging across the region. We also welcome the support this season of The London Brewers Alliance, a loose collective of breweries within the M25 celebrating and promoting the resurgence of brewing in London. There will be live music, pub grub, the Crystal Girls, and special guest appearances.
Chief Executive Phil Alexander hopes that this year’s festival is the best yet, he said: “I am delighted to announce details of this, our third Beer Festival here at Crystal Palace Football Club. From the success of the previous two we are now being recognised by the brewing industry both regionally and nationally, and the positive feedback from real ale drinkers and new converts alike is attracting interest from other clubs in the country, eager to replicate and learn from our success. I hope that this season’s festival will be bigger and better, with more choice and even greater selection of fine ales and ciders.”
This year, the giant screen will show highlights from the Eagles 2012/13 campaign via the club's HD TV screens around the concourses and in the Red and Blue Bar.
