24/11/12 League Leeds United (a) 2-1 loss

The next run of games had particular significance to Palace. The first is an away trip to Leeds, a team struggling towards the bottom of the table.

Always going to be a tough game against a Neil Warnock managed team. The first half Leeds probably had the edge but in saying that we went into the half goalless. The only point of note from the first half was a penalty claim from Palace turned down when Zaha was tripped in the penalty area. I think we’ve had our fair share so far but this was the difference between drawing and losing as Leeds took the lead through Becchio who took advantage of a deflected clearance. Palace went two down with less than a quarter of an hour to go when Green struck for the home side. We huffed and puffed and managed a consolation goal through Ramage but in the closing seconds had an effort cleared off the Leeds line.

View from TheEaglesBeak; It had to come at some stage and rather now than in a couple of games times. The team battled well late on but paid for a lacklustre first period.
