As it happens, the Millwall game was the farewell for Dougie Freedman. Not that any of us knew it but I do have a suspicion that Freedman knew, it just would not have happened as quickly if he didn't. I will leave any theories alone so I will say thank you to Dougie and move on.
In the absence of a manager for this game Lennie Lawrence and Curtis Fleming step into the breach in what are difficult circumstances for all involved, not least the players. But it only took Palace 11 minutes to get into the lead in the tough midweek away fixture. Murray slotted home Parr's magnificent cross. There were chances for Palace to stretch their lead but the home team worked their way back into the game and deservedly equalised late on which was perhaps a cruel blow to the Palace players and amazing travelling faithful. The run continues even in the turmoil.
View from TheEaglesBeak; Great point in the circumstances as a loss could have been expected, but the run continues ....
